Independant channels didn't make it into 5.0. However, I was talking to
Allen at the Intergraph booth (where I was demoing the new code), and I
once again asked him about adding this desperately needed capability. He
confessed that he recently sat down to do some animation (for the first
time in a long time) which involved characters. The experience truly
enlightened him to the value and necessity of independent channels. So
you can bet its coming.
